PALEHOUND FLOWING OVER

Boston-based indie rockers Palehound, fronted by Ellen Kempner, reveal new album news with their uplifting lead single 'Flowing Over'A Place I'll Always Go is the follow-up to her brilliant lo-fi confessional debut album Dry Food, which was released last spring on Heavenly Recordings, and was inspired by a particularly rough patch in her life. 'Flowing Over' also comes from a place of darkness, having lost both a close friend and her grandmother in close succession last year. Kempner's art is in her ability to take negative emotions and turn them into uplifting indie anthems by making something good out of a bad situation. The accompanying video for the track is a celebration of female wrestlers and getting high featuring the Boston League of Women Wrestlers as Kempner explains, “The first time I saw BLOWW perform, their energy was so intoxicating that I couldn’t get them out of my mind for days...Watching other women/non binary people exert so much of their time and energy into their passion, I immediately felt inspired to step up my game.” -HLMX
